Dr. Chan shares how she learned to distinguish intuition from imagination by keeping a journal and tracking what she sensed against what actually happened. She describes some of her own experiences with dreams, intuitive warnings, and what she considers meaningful signs from nature.
We also talk about what it can mean to develop intuition safely, including the importance of being present, creating a sense of safety, having guidance, and taking responsibility for the information that comes through. Dr. Chan explains why she believes intuition is something humans naturally possess and why many people may have learned to suppress or ignore it.
The conversation then moves into energy medicine, skepticism, healing, the human spirit, surrender, play, music, singing, and the ways people can reconnect with joy and a deeper sense of themselves.
Dr. Chan also talks about what decades of working with patients have taught her about human beings, including her belief that people are remarkably resilient and that beneath conditioning, fear, and suffering there is an inherent desire to feel whole.
We close with a conversation about where someone might begin if they want to become healthier in a more holistic sense, including education, self-reflection, journaling, and becoming more open to discovering what their next steps might be.
